Holy Trinity Home for Children

The Holy Trinity Home for Children, a charitable institution was founded by Mother Elena O. Suico, THDW, the founder of the Trinitarian Handmaids of the Divine Word whose great desire is to uplift the condition of marginalized and poverty stricken families. It started to give services to destitute children in January 1993 with 5 children. Sisters and children stayed at 12 Dodge St. West Fairview Quezon City, but due to the rapid increase of the children and Sisters, Msgr. Fidelis Limcaco, Founder of the Trinitarian Federation very generously made them use his Emmanuel House at # 43 Walnut St. for 4 years after which they transferred to # 5 Francisco Ave., Merry Homes Subdivision., Sauyo, Novaliches, Quezon City.

When the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) required the institution to follow the standard requirements particularly for building a new facility, a new building good for 50 children was constructed at Block 3 Lot 4 Accountant St. Merry Homes Subdivision, Sauyo, Novaliches, Quezon City through the help of generous benefactors. The building was blessed by Bishop Antonio Tobias on March 25, 2004.

The Holy Trinity Home for Children was registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 15, 1999 and on September 13, 2003, it was granted permanent license by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to operate as a child welfare institution.

The children are provided food, shelter, education and taught Christian doctrines and moral values by the Sisters. They are a mixture of orphans, abandoned, destitute and street children. They are well-attended to physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.

At present there are 48 children in the institution ages 4 to 16 years old. Their needs are provided by the Sisters through the support of some generous friends and benefactors of the institution.
